DG HOME is organizing this CERIS event to bring together practitioners, policy makers and researchers to discuss the lessons drawn from several projects related to Community Policing (CP). CP is an integral part of policing, which focuses on cooperation with local communities for better understanding challenges and the given group needs and meeting them. Nowadays, Police Authorities, while carrying out their duties to provide community security, are faced with numerous economic and demographic challenges. As a consequence, more efficient solutions, tools and methodologies are sought.

This event will be an opportunity to create synergies, compare experiences, share knowledge and good practices and share new developments in the field of Community Policing.
